How to improve this ratio

 Spam complaints

This ratio indicates the percentage of recipients who sent your messages to the spam folder. This is a very important indicator, since all mail services track it and form your sender reputation based on it. If the percentage of spam complaints exceeds 0.5%, then you can be marked as a spammer. This will bury the effectiveness of email marketing, since your letters simply will not reach the Inbox.

  • Remind subscribers dataset that they have agreed to receive your emails. Add an instant unsubscribe function to your email template. The unsubscribe link should be visible to the user, as many people send emails to spam if they cannot unsubscribe quickly and easily.
  • Don’t increase the analysis of competitors on marketplaces frequency of sending messages arbitrarily. If you promised to send one letter a week, do so. Alternatively, you can add a function for the subscriber to change the frequency of sending letters.
  • Keep your emails visually clean. Messages should not resemble a kaleidoscope designed to cause an epileptic seizure in the client.

Error statistics

This indicator is responsible for the percentage of messages that for one reason or another did not reach the addressee. There are two types of refusals:

  • Soft bounces. Such refusals occur when the recipient’s mailbox is full, there are technical problems with dating data the server, etc. They are temporary and do not greatly affect the effectiveness of the email distribution.
  • Hard bounces. These refusals indicate errors in recipient addresses. They occur when trying to send a letter to a non-existent mailbox.
